Valiant Heart (Heartsong Presents #236)

Orphaned, Amanda and Sarah Jane Shelby are left without hope in the bustling town of Independence, Missouri. Sarah Jane reacts to their situation with a positive and adventurous attitude, while Amanda, being the oldest, takes their predicament with all seriousness. Their only hope is to follow their father's dream of settling in the Oregon Territory, but Amanda cannot convince the wagon master, Seth Holloway, to take two helpless young women under his protection. Amanda and Sarah Jane set off across the plains, alone and unprepared for the daunting task set before them. What is God's plan for them? Will they ever reach Oregon? Or will their path be diverted in the search for a home, gold...and love?
