About the book
This is the second of two novels (see also The Hollow Woman) featuring one-armed Toronto private investigator with an interesting past and an equally interesting name - John Kenneth Galbraith Jantarro. He finds himself without a client when movie bigwig Alan Laki dies of poisoning. Did his ex-actress wife Camella, arrested on suspicion, do it? Jantarro, who was originally hired to find out why Camella spent over a quarter of a million in barely three months, is intrigued by her and his attempts to clear her lead him to cast of interesting characters, one of whom decides to feed Jantarro to komodo dragons. Several others die before things are resolved.
