Master of Ransome

When Gregory Camden asked Sara Brent to marry him, it was because he needed someone as housekeeper and hostess - nothing more. . . . Sara had come from England to work in Adelaide as typist to Clifford Camden, the business manager of the Camden Pastoral Company controlling several properties in the North of Australia. When Clifford sent her as temporary secretary to his cousin Gregory - the master of Ransome Station - she found to her surprise that no one expected her to be efficient, least of all Gregory. They just thought she was another of Clifford's girl-friends! Naturally, Sara determined to make herself indispensable - and succeeded to such an extent that Gregory made her his wife. Then it was she discovered she loved the master of Ransome, and a marriage entered into on a common-sense basis was not what her heart desired. Sara's story is a fascinating and romantic story, with its background the real Australia.
